COO Business Management Support Team assists in operationalization of GPB vision and strategy. In that context the Team is responsible for operational efficiency and resilience of GPB across COO and central functions as well as GPB wide direct and indirect cost and resources management.

The Opportunity:

  • The purpose of the Senior Business Management role is to provide expert support and assistance to the Global GPB&W COO, Global Head of Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW), and Global Head of Distribution.  Key responsibilities include: -
  • UHNW & Distribution business services: supporting MI production, data cleansing, optimization of processes and team structures; and producing high quality client-ready visual outputs / PPT materials (e.g., pitchbooks, UHNW SharePoint, strategy decks etc.)
  • COO Office management: across Communications (internal newsletters, Townhalls etc.), People Engagement activities (e.g., people pillars, snapshot analysis etc.), Governance (e.g. leadership meetings, reporting, scorecards, offsites etc.) and planning
  • Cost & Performance related activities: direct cost, forecasting, accruals, invoicing, and Purchase Orders

The role holder will:

  • Ensure transparency, monitoring (e.g. monthly dashboard) and reporting progress against plans, quality & costs
  • Prepare and follow up on action items from global and regional program calls.
  • Participate in design of reporting decks and ongoing production ownership for quantitative MI.
  • Provide regular status updates to senior management incl. GPB ExCo and GPB&W COO LTM
  • Resource Management – including headcount tracking, reporting, Org design, and analysis.
  • Process and Team Improvement & Efficiency
  • Production of useful MI and analysis to enable insightful decision making can be made.
  • Ensure quality of information across all reporting systems and consistency in reporting
  • Undertake Day to Day support activities in helping to run the operation and Ad hoc requests and analysis as required/requested

GROW

  • Provide Business Management support & change delivery initiatives (for instance CTB planning, performance analysis) delivered in all areas of responsibility.
  • Support coordination of Business Management and migration/offshoring support activities across COO Office & UHNW / Distribution
  • Participate in meetings and escalate any issues/Challenges in a timely manner and propose solutions where required.

  • Successful delivery of considerable optimization & efficiency gain project undertaken
  • Timely completion of planned activities without any delay attributable to GSC functions.
  • Recorded evidence by Line Manager and business stakeholders

STREAMLINE

  • Support & drive increasing operational efficiency and resilience of GPB across COO and central functions as well as GPB wide direct and indirect cost.
  • Place the customer at the centre of the GPB business, ensuring fair client outcomes
  • Ensure a consistent application of solutions across GPB entities, leveraging best practice, and there is an appropriate read-across to other entities when issues arise.

  • Adhere to all relevant Audit and Compliance requirements

Customers / Stakeholders:

  • Provide accurate and timely MI
  • Ensure all processed MI's/region specific tasks and reports are accurate and shared as per agreed timelines.
  • Observe/Analyze MI Areas of improvement and suggest corrective action whenever applicable
  • Ensure timely escalation of all delays/challenges and proactively look for resolution to minimize any negative impact
  • Ensure that stakeholder expectations are met with highest level of professionalism and value led exceptional service

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Educated to graduate level (or equivalent level of experience) (M)
  • Strong Excel (particularly large data sets / modelling) and high-quality visual report production (M)
  • Prior Business Management & Experience of producing high quality reporting to tight deadlines (E)
  • Prior Team Management experience or strong inclination towards people & team management (E)

  • GPB wide role - The Role Holder will communicate regularly with various offices globally and all levels of seniority including all the product specialist teams.
  • The jobholder will be required to support the management of programmes/projects and governance forums, representing his/her team as appropriate.
  • Understanding of financial reporting aspects and moderate level knowledge of all investment, banking, insurance, and credit products offered by GPB. Knowledge of operational, trading, and overall business knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Highly professional approach, competent with the ability to work independently and drive forward elements of key GPB product and service related projects.
  • Exercise any/all delegated authorities with due care and diligence.
