We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President - Project Manager

Business - Wealth & Personal Banking 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience managing Decision Systems software technologies in banking environment
  • Experience delivering Technology transformation projects and/or process re-engineering in Decisioning, Analytics or Data
  • Proven ability to build and deploy scalable, high availability Decisioning infrastructure architectures in an enterprise or cloud environments for global banks
  • Prior experience in technology delivery is required. Having exposure to Decision Systems would be an advantage.
  • Experience in defining, designing and supporting Cloud based implementations of applications and Decisioning platforms
  • Has an excellent knowledge of the credit life cycle, decisioning practices, credit risk model development and understands the market positioning of HSBC products
  • Understands the function of HSBC in-house systems and processes or alternatively knowledge of similar systems within a similar organization.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, team management, influencing, decision making, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and a successful track record of leading multiple multi-functional project teams within aggressive timelines to successfully implement change initiatives in the software development lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills required. Must be able to manage multiple large-scale projects. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to network and build strong relationships with internal and external peer groups.
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast changing environment with attention to detail and deliver on tight timelines. 
  • Ability to work autonomously, delegate and plan appropriately, as well as work collaboratively with various groups to drive high quality results.
  • Experience in managing and resolving complex issues using proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed with the current data landscape and apply acquired analysis and data skills to new contexts and approaches
  • Building relationships and networking, with high levels of motivation and collaboration
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills. A strong ability to communicate virtually e.g. conference calls and video conferencing
  • Job may involve some amount of travel 
Requisitos
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, finance, information technology, economics, related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong background working with large-scale technology implementations in banking domain
  • Experience with Agile/iterative process in the context of project tracking and reporting. Exposure to JIRA/Confluence for project management activity
  • Enthusiasm for proactively seeking, exploring, and developing use cases for new data and/or tools/wider industry trends
  • Experience working across multiple geographical regions desirable
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix multi-national operating structure
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors

Soft Skills requirements 

  • Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and develop end to end solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners across business groups, evaluate emerging techniques that may contribute to existing analytical capabilities and computational models
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success.
  • Maintain the level of communication/interaction across the team and direct manager including onshore business partners
  • Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude. Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations is advantageous
