- Sustainability and Client Insights is a part of Banking Chief Commercial Office (CCO) aligned to Business Performance and Client Analytics vertical. Purpose of this function is to generate insights and analytics that shapes management decision making. The unit has a special focus on the growing client analytics space by embedding company research, macro-economics, data analysis etc. for optimizing the decision making. The team collaborates with various internal and external partners to create and deliver insights and analytics products that best fits the evolving business needs, while staying aligned to the strategic objectives of Global Banking and Markets.
- The CCO function drives the successful delivery of strategic business outcomes within agreed investment boundaries through efficient and effective project & analytics delivery. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join the Chief Commercial Office team to drive and deliver business strategy.
The Opportunity:
- Generate ideas and actionable insights for the business stakeholders and workstream participants involved in delivering the GB strategy with a specific focus on corporate/investment banking performance and client profitability. Exploring vast data assets available within the bank and identifying new assets available externally which can then be used to drive business decision-making. To scale and increase the velocity of analysis produced by the team by identifying opportunities to streamline and automate manual analysis. Driving thought leadership will be key to success in the role.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct data exploration and analysis on the external and internal data assets available within the bank to generate insights.
- Create compelling PowerPoint presentations for senior management.
- Conduct analysis on macro-economic trends that can have impact on bank’s performance and suggest actions.
- Suggest ideas and identify opportunities to grow the business and present it to senior stakeholders.
- Support juniors in the team in their skill development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams and functions and work in an integrated environment.
Requisitos
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Graduation / Post Graduation degree from reputed institute in a Finance (with a good CGPA score)
- Strong analytical thought process and aptitude for problem solving.
- Deftness in analyzing high volumes of data, preferably using advanced analytical tools like python etc.
- Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to complete work independently to a high-quality standard.
- Experience of operating in a global setting / interacting with Business Partners and Senior Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Being a go-getter and getting things done amidst uncertain and challenging environment and within tight deadlines.
- Provide guidance and support to juniors proactively.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Research background in banking industry would be a valuable add-on.
- Understanding of macro-economics, interest rate cycles etc.
