  • Global RBWM Retail Credit Risk manages Credit Risk associated with Retail lending products (Mortgages, Credit Cards, Loans and Overdrafts) for all countries HSBC operates in. The function is supported by several hundred analytics professionals engaged in reporting, modelling and data manipulation. As a result, there are significant challenges to the effective management of data within the function requiring close cooperation with partners in RBWM and Finance.
  • The Retail Credit Risk (RCR) Data Team is seeking expert Qlik Sense developers to support and deliver of Qlik Sense dashboard projects at Global and Regional levels. A data strategy is being implemented consisting of MI and Data focused projects supporting business and regulatory requirements, with a goal of moving significant processes to Cloud.
  • The successful candidate will form an integral part of the RCR Data Management function and will be actively involved in Qlik Sense Dashboards with end to end development to cater regional and group MI requirements. The selected candidate would get an opportunity to work across data and MI projects and understand the Risk reporting in depth.

The Opportunity:

  • The incumbent would be required to support Loss Forecasting & Provisioning activities for the secured and unsecured products for Regional Loss Forecasting team.

What you’ll do: 

  • Own the actual vs forecast monitoring and co-ordinate with country risk/ finance / IFRS9 to deliver the results with solid insight
  • Support AOP/FRP & monthly forecast activities, review & challenge the assumptions & numbers internally externally (country & regional risk teams) for the Quality forecast outcomes.
  • Deliver the monthly Forecasting Executive Reports in a timely and flawless manner
  • Support the streamlining activities related to BAU reporting, Review & Challenges
  • Independently interact with senior stakeholders, deliver simple projects and should be able to troubleshoot the queries associated with the project & BAU activities
  • Explore innovation and transformation opportunities. Explore new tools and methodologies.
  • Pro-actively support the implementation of process improvement initiatives, migration of BAU activities, and contribute in the innovation projects
  • Help in the smooth induction of new recruits in the team
  • Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, Regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards as applicable to the role. Take timely action on Audit findings and should be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls.

Service Delivery

  • Develop an understanding of the Loss Forecasting and Provisioning processes, including IFRS9. Should be able to understand the relationship between Provisions and the changes in the macro-economic environment, strategy, policies etc.
  • Ensure adequate process and methodology documentation, to facilitate knowledge transition
  • Provide guidance to the new members in the team
  • Drive innovation and process standardization

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the internal & external stakeholders
  • Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles

Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics/ statistics/ economics or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant analytics experience in statistical analysis or equivalent
  • Prior Risk management experience in Retail portfolios such as Mortgage, Cards, Loans will be an added advantage
  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of tools [SAS, MS Office, VBA, Python etc] & statistics
  • Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills
