The Opportunity:

  • This is a key role within the Global DBS OPS Non-Financial Risk (NFR) & Quality Assurance Utility supporting Business Services across Global Operations including network markets. The role holder will support validation of issue and action closures, testing activities that include solutions implemented at the back of internal events. There are over 1.4k HELIOS users in DBS OPS and the Central Utility is set up to drive a consistent approach and high-quality data capture in HELIOS in accordance with the Group Policies and DBS OPS requirements.  Review and challenge issue and action closures to ensure embedment and sustainability of actions.

What you’ll do:

  • Guide Operations to a more proactive risk management culture through regular engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Support Operations through testing activities and support in the embedment of sustainable fixes seeking to simplify, clarify and add value to the business.
  • The job holder is required to co-ordinate NFR / HELIOS activities with various managers in DBS OPS. S/he is also required to liaise with stakeholders outside DBS OPS on matters relating to NFR and Helios.
  • Review and challenge issues and actions inclusive of ensuring realistic issue and action closure dates and ensure timely closure.
  • Perform closure validation of issue and action to ensure there is adequate embedment and sustainability of the actions implemented.
  • Work with DBS Ops risk and control owners and their CCOs to capture timely and accurate data on Helios
  • Publish regular MI’s to key stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Consistently display positive leadership behaviors including notification and timely escalation of any concerns.
  • Strong governance to ensure all Helios activities are completed in a timely manner.
Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation / influencing skills with experience of positive and challenging interactions with senior management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group. 
  • A high degree of initiative is expected to make recommendations as required and to handle the job requirements in an effective manner.
  • Ability to identify, assess and communicate the need for risk management intervention in complex, fast paced environments.
  • High level of drive and self-motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously in a matrix environment. 
  • Proactive and delivery focused to ensure individual and team tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality. 
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work with other resource owners to agree timely provision of services
  • Strong Analytical skills to be able to interpret data. Produce simplified and impactful MI in a timely manner.
  • Prior knowledge of Helios / previous experience in Risk Management is desirable.
