We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Alternative Data Business Analyst (6 Months Fixed Term Contract).

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Set-up data governance structure for all Alternatives classes

  • Buildout data ownership model, establish and assign data owners for Alternatives data domains and data fields

  • Implementation and set-up of data management policies and processes, data quality checks, data ingestion and associated controls

  • Develop and maintain data documentation, creation of Alternatives data dictionary, data quality rules and inventory

  • Design consolidated HSBC Alternatives transaction and security type taxonomy in collaboration with business teams

  • Assist with assessment, vendor scoring and selection of 3rd party data solution provider

  • Strong documentation skills, high level of attention to detail, understanding of Alternatives business processes

Requisitos

To be successful you will need

  • Knowledge of Alternative Asset Management is mandatory– Ideally knowledge on specific asset types and related business processes within our business

  • Knowledge of Indirect investments (funds of funds) - Private Equity or Hedge Funds; in Direct investments: Private Credit, Real Assets, Venture Capital

  • Knowledge on processes: origination, portfolio management, capital calls and distributions, valuations, NAV validation, reporting

  • Ability to synthesise the high-level picture while understanding the details and be able to write Business Requirement Document (BRD)

  • Significant experience in Alt data management and set up and expertise in operational and business change requirements

  • Ideally knowledge of some of these tools: Citco, and potentially Allvue, eFront, MSCI, WSO
