Principal Responsibilities:

  • Processing of Corporate action related transactions and processes like dividend payments, corporate action announcements, processing of e-voting and other related instructions etc., for Foreign Institutions as well as Domestic clients.
  • Back-up for other officers in the section by learning other officer’s desk jobs to ensure rotation is in place and to ensure continuous movement of process.
  • Maintain and enhance relationship with external parties like companies, registrars, market participants, vendors and other units within DCC.
  • Adhering to Service Level Agreements and Operational Memorandum committed to clients, external parties and internal units.
  • Timely escalation of situations wherein the normal process steps might need to be diverted from.
  • Accurate checking / authorization of various Corporate action related transactions, processing announcements including date received from exchanges, vendors, as well as client instructions for completeness, based on set processes and market practices. Due attention should be paid to accuracy / timeliness of completion of process / transaction within the client TATs agreed in the SLAs and ensure no client complaints.
  • Contribute towards improvement of productivity of self and team.
  • Maintaining a good relationship with internal customers like Client Service team, other units within DCC and bank.  Ensuring internal deadlines are met to meet the overall objective of ensuring excellent service to clients.
  • Maintaining HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring
Requisitos
  • Graduate (BA / BS / B.Com. etc.) with around 3 to 4 years of experience in securities market back office operations.
  • Capital Market / Securities Market knowledge is preferable and an added advantage.
  • Excellent working knowledge required of MS Office applications / software especially MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong customer and service orientation, attention to detail and accuracy and ability to work in pressurized environment.
  • Good team player - dedicated approach to teamwork and ability to contribute to team effort.
  • Ability to handle tasks independently, multi-task, good planning, organizing skills & time management skills and a “can do attitude”.

Eligibility Criteria

  • India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.
  • Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted
  • INM Employees in scope of WPB Career Progression Framework not eligible to apply to roles within the purview of the Framework.
