- Global Service Centre (GSC) provides a wide range of financial support services to business partners across the HSBC Group. Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a critical function in BRCS with the advent of Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 (SOX). Balance Sheet Reconciliations team provides service to multiple business partners across various HSBC sites and entities. The team is responsible for the Reconciliation & Substantiation of products like Mortgages, cards, Loans, deposits, Nostros etc. for HSBC group entities spread across regions mainly UK. The Nostro Account Management Unit is created to provide control oversight over Cash Nostro account opening and closing and to maintain transparency and completeness of HSBC’s Cash Nostros.
What you’ll do:
- Understand Management Information (MI) requirements to be able to produce, analyze and interpret MI
- Be able to engage with Cash Nostro Correspondent Banks to perform Periodic Validation Processes
- Maintain highest standards of audit and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
- To handle escalations and liaise with the Business Area as necessary.
- Perform other projects or special assignments as required.
- Meet targets on productivity and accuracy within stipulated time frame.
- Instructions/requests are correctly interpreted and fully undertaken.
- Hands on experience working in any of the following areas or systems such as Markets and Security Services, Payments Processing,
- Investigations, Reconciliations, Cash management etc. would be added advantage.

What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Understanding of the business / lateral thinking. Pre-empt issues or concerns and flag these off to business
partner / Sr management in a timely manner - Ability to manage trouble shooting/ secondary reviews and understand all queries raised by business
partner. - Should have consistently demonstrated ability of leading change management initiatives and driving results
- Experience of managing quality metrics and leading standardization / continuous improvement and
engineering initiatives for respective processes - To acquire detailed understanding of the process design and to be able to exceed SLA standards.
- Ensure that processes and procedures are continually reviewed and improved, and changes are communicated and implemented effectively.
- Acquire and update knowledge on procedures related to relevant processes.
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Independent, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage customer relationship with multiple business partners
- Self-motivated and good team player
- Should be flexible to work across shifts
- Ability to speak and understand English, write business letters and reports, and has good conversational / telephone skills.

- Has experience in planning and organizing work in a global environment.
- Possesses experience of establishing and maintaining relationships with senior decision makers.
