The Savings Product Management role is based within the Everyday Banking (EDB) Product team within Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM).

The Savings Product Management team is responsible for the product and risk management of c.9m customer accounts holding balances of more than 101bn. This includes responsibility for product oversight and governance, regulatory transformation, as well as servicing journey and portfolio simplification.  The team is also responsible for the day to day product management across HSBC, first direct and M&S.

The role holder will report into the Everyday Banking product team and engage in the strategic direction of products and propositions. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business, the role holder is required to role model customer- centricity, driving service excellence and offering products and services that meet customer needs.

In this role you will:

  • Be a Product and technical subject matter expert.
  • Responsible for supporting implementation of complex strategic projects, driving enhanced, simplified savings journeys
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers, Legal, Compliance, Risk and IT for customer driven outcomes to regulatory or business change
  • Assist in establishing and maintenance a comprehensive approach to conduct risk management, driven by rigorous product controls and sustained energy to improve consistency and service standards
  • Responsible for the delivery of changes to our products and identifying areas to improve customer experience.
  • Understanding the competitor landscape and what it means for the management and development of products and services for our customers
Requisitos

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
  • Proven strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Experience of product management, customer management or change implementation
  • A track record of making complex business decisions, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
  • Proven track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and influencing others to successfully implement and deliver change
  • Knowledge of our Savings Accounts will be advantageous

This role is Hybrid and various locations can be considered.
