The Opportunity:
- This position will provide comprehensive MI, data analytics, and business support for the Alternatives Investment function within Asset Management. The individual will act as a key interface between Business and Finance, supporting and enhancing the monthly reporting, data submissions, and strategic investment insights.
- The role requires partnering closely with onshore teams (UK, HK, Singapore, etc.) to ensure timely and efficient delivery of critical MI, with a strong focus on automation, system enhancements, and process simplification. The individual will also lead or support several business initiatives, including new report development, transition/demise of MI processes, and support for committee materials.
- The position will be based out of Chennai, and will report into VP, FA Asset Management. In addition to above mentioned BAU deliveries, the position will also lead adhoc projects on various topics related to operational effectiveness and efficiencies. This role will be expected to seamlessly transition between operational, recurring tasks and analytical projects as business need dictates.
What you’ll do:
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
Business & MI Reporting Partnership:
- Act as the central point of contact for all monthly Alternatives MI data submissions and commentary.
- Provide accurate and timely MI input to business stakeholders across locations.
- Coordinate with onshore counterparts to deliver monthly MI packs, Alternative Investments reports, and AUM-based commentaries.
- Track flows, commitments, and dry powder to support investment and performance analysis.
Data Management & Technical Automation:
- Drive automation of recurring reports using tools such as Tableau, Anaplan, and Rafter.
- Support new MI build and take on analytics transitioned from other teams or locations.
- Partner with Fund Admin teams and Alt Ops to ensure alignment and consistency of fund-related data and cost center setups.
- Own and manage mapping processes for cost centers and product structures relevant to Alternatives.
Process Efficiency & Enhancement:
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve controls.
- Lead system simplification initiatives and support enhancements across Finance and Business platforms.
- Contribute to the demise of legacy reports and design new MI dashboards to support changing business needs.
Stakeholder Support:
- Support onshore stakeholders in the UK, HK, Singapore, and other locations with data, analytics, and timely submissions.
- Prepare committee-level materials and business insights with a focus on Alternatives performance and investment reporting.
- Assist in developing long-term sustainable MI infrastructure aligned to business growth and scalability.

What you will need to succeed in the role:
Functional Knowledge
- Master’s degree required, preference for Finance, Economics or Business.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in MI, Business Analytics, or Investment/Financial Data Reporting roles.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau, Anaplan, or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of Alternatives investments (Private Equity, Real Assets, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; VBA/Python knowledge is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data to senior stakeholders clearly and concisely.
