What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, architects, analytics and IT to an intelligent-led, deliver data driven solution on top of GCP

• Drive the use cases delivery on GCP, including: Cloud onboarding; design, development/coding, testing & deployment into Production, data migration from on prem server to cloud, for different applications.  

• Work with Solution’s Architect to finalize design solution for GCP solution

• Collaborate with central teams (architecture, security, engineering, networks) who are responsible for delivering HSBC baseline cloud architecture

• Collaborate with other development teams that are also delivering use cases on GCP, e.g. share best practice

• Ensure DevSecOps capabilities are built in as part of the solutionEnsure solution aligns with wider Compliance vision and Enterprise level strategies

• Work with China site lead to manage XIAN entity work .

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree is preferred

• GCP or AWS certified (GCP preferred)

• Solid knowledge and 5+ years hands-on experiences in below techniques / practices:

• Experience of migration to GCP and integration projects on large scale environment

• Experience working with kubernetes, Dockers, Storage, Cloud Functions

• Experience to perform data analysis, on Databases (SQL, no-SQL, DBT)

• CI/CD pipelines

• Data Flow, Data Proc, Big Query

• Java sprint boot & sprint cloud, Zuul gateway

• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiar with Microsevice and API first development

• Security (IAM, AD, ADLDS, roles, service accounts, entitlements)

• DevSecOps principles & automation tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub)

• Events & Data Streaming: Data Proc, Pub-Sub, Confluent/Kafka

• Familiar with TCP/IP network design including addressing, routing, switches, firewalls, and routers

• Agile development practices & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence)

• Strong solve problems skills and able to work independently and under pressure

• Ability to communicate explain complex ideas in both oral and written English

• Good stakeholder management and influencing skills

   

  Optional Skills

• Machine Learning knowledge

• Network configuration (VPC, VPC-SC, VPN)

• Encryption (CMEK, KMS, HSM, at rest, in transit)

• Creating Data Pipelines

• Familiar with Domain Driven Design

• OpenIAM/OpenAM

• JSON Web Tokens (JWT)

• Admin knowledge in Nexus, Git, GitHub.

• Experience on Microservice E2E Design/Deployment

• Istio /service mesh

• Any Data Specific Certifications is a plus

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience in Banking and Financial Services with good understanding of the legal and compliance business

• Good communication (verbal&written). Ability to explain complex ideas.

• Ability to work as a tech lead of an agile program (familiarity with agile methodology).Ability to work in a multicultural environment;

• Keen to learn and keen to mentor

• Experience in delivering complex solutions at large organizations of varying size and complexity

• Experience working in a global environment

• Highly motivated, outcome driven and results oriented with the ability to prioritize and drive measurable value
