The role holder will work in Risk and Compliance Transformation (RCT) which manages the Change the Bank investment portfolio and associated transformation activity on behalf of and across the Risk and Compliance function globally. It is accountable for the global, cross functional change agenda, delivering mandatory/regulatory and strategic change programmes on behalf of Global Risk and Compliance, in partnership with regional teams and in support of business partner control needs. It supports the designs and delivers large scale, complex global change across multiple geographies and jurisdictions, impacting regions and business lines, including system, people and process changes, ensuring the change programmes adhere to the change standards laid out by HSBC and using mandated tools and methods.

Risk and Compliance Transformation is part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) sub function which is responsible for providing services to ensure the efficient and effective management and operational running of the function.

 

The Opportunity:  

Business Analysts are at the centre of how Transformation shapes, delivers and embeds change working with the business and our delivery partners. They are typically responsible for Requirements Management, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management. Business Analysts work collaboratively with delivery partners and subject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirements and defining design options. In systems related projects and programmes, the role holder will support technology delivery partners with the translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements and designs, often representing the voice of the customer and business in these discussions.  

 

What you’ll do:     

  • Partner with a wide range of functions and businesses (including Traded Risk Management, Global Markets, IT, Middle Office, Risk Analytics, etc.) to ensure successful implementation of risk requirements to support business growth.
  • Brings structure and order to undefined problems, making them easier to address and solve.
  • Uses systemic thinking and creativity in devising solution options.
  • Evaluates relative costs, benefits and obstacles of potential solutions before implementing.
  • Articulates or translates complex information in clear, meaningful and structured way to suit audience.
  • Understands the Group’s priorities, business drivers, competitors and competitive strategy to help drive strategically aligned solutions, considering aspects of risk/reward.
  • Builds effective working relationships with analysis and design teams in our delivery partners and works well with external partners.
  • Often acts as an expert across multiple projects or programmes simultaneously, guiding the teams on their requirements gathering, design, change or implementation approach. May conduct one off business research and analysis tasks related to programme or project scope.     
Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:       

  • University graduate in Risk Management, Business Analysis or related disciplines.
  • Has experience in business analysis or project management in banking or financial institution environment.
  • Understanding for financial derivative products and their implications in terms of counterparty credit and market risk.
  • Ability to understand and interpret business/ risk requirements, with ability to translate the technical details into business context, and vice versa.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to mobilize cross- function counterparts at global, region, or country levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems.
  • Experience of managing resources using appropriate communication, delegation and planning skills.
  • Experience with technical skill (e.g. Python, AliClound) for innovation project experience would be an advantage.  

 

What additional skills will be good to have?     

  • FRM, CFA.
  • Python.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
  • Cloud Knowledge (AliCound, GCP, etc…).
