Global Finance within HSBC Group aspires to be a leading international finance team: leading with integrity and providing trusted insights. 
The role holder will lead a global team responsible for Business Finance and scenario analysis, for CIB Globally & HBEU including all of Western Markets. They will work directly with Head of Financial Planning & Analysis - CIB & HBEU, with core areas of responsibility.

In this role you will:

 

•    Reporting Transformation: A key component of this role to deliver continuous improvement across the suite of Management Insight reports for CIB & HBEU, including - data visualization, new metrics and new ratios to monitor Business performance.
•    Access to data: The role holder will develop innovative ways of making CIB and HBEU financial data readily available to stakeholders, leveraging the latest technology platforms available within the Group to streamline the flow of information and where appropriate implement self-service models for data access. 
•    Deployment of AI and other cutting-edge technology capabilities: the role holder will proactively identify opportunities to deploy leading-edge techniques and technologies to both streamline and enhance the output of the CIB & HBEU FP&A function. Horizon scanning and looking beyond the immediate day-to-day needs of the business are important aspects of this role.
•    Analytics and insight innovation: the role holder will drive innovation in the analysis of CIB financial metrics, externally available data and data available from other parts of the Group to define and test hypotheses and enable the business to make better decisions. This aspect of the role will see close collaboration with the CIB & HBEU Head of Reporting and Market Insight
•    Controls:  Additionally, the role is responsible for applying effective internal entity controls established by the Group in compliance with the policies and procedures laid out in GSM and FIMs.

•    Head of Financial Planning & Analysis; CIB & HBEU.
•    CFO CIB & HBEU.
•    CIB & HBEU OpCo [C-Suite].
•    Finance Business Partner; CIB & HBEU.
•    Finance ADA.
•    CIB Front office teams including relationship managers.

Requisitos

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

•    Held senior Finance management roles within HSBC or other financial institution of a similar size.

•    Strong background in data and the ability to work with large data sets. 
•    Expertise in the Banking products including value and profit drivers.
•    Experience with designing and developing visualization tooling such as Qlik.
•    Experience with AI and disruptive innovation. 
•    Working experience with client profitability programmes such an Omnia.
•    Up to date on latest functional trends/ regulations/ changes in competitor behaviors.
•    Experience managing and developing an international team within a complex functional environment.
