We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Channel Manager - Global Third-Party Distribution - Retail Sales & Services.
Principal Responsibilities
This is a global role in the Third-Party Distribution (TPD) unit of the Group Retail Sales & Distribution function with focus on planning, business management and deployment of third-party engagements to increase Group’s ability to grow sales, acquisition, services and transactions through TPD frameworks. In this role, the role holder will lead in the following areas:
- Business Management: Proactively drive key initiatives by supporting the Global Head of TPD in the areas of planning, business and performance management activities (e.g. OKRs, KPIs/KRIs, reporting); embed and oversee regular operating rhythm to ensure smooth functioning of the Global TPD team
- Design: Ensure that the Group TPD agenda is aligned to the key strategic priorities of retail banking. Support development of business and control frameworks to capture emerging opportunities. Manage areas of risk collaborating with the colleagues from 1LOD, NFR and 2LOD functions
- Business Growth: Take ownership of specific TPD frameworks, ensure compliance of markets with the FIM procedures, identify opportunities and support Market growth. Own the Third-Party Services & Transactions (S&T) framework, expand footprint, contain risk, and reduce the cost-to-serve
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5-years’ experience in a comparable financial services organisation
- Strong planning, project management and business management skills
- Experience in creating content for governance forums (papers, presentations and speakers notes)
- Knowledge of retail distribution and risk frameworks
- Experience in front-line roles and working in Country, Regional and/or Global role
- Experience in working in/with the Markets and Regions to deploy new distribution models
- Analytical and consulting experience is beneficial
Skills:
- Ability to interact with diverse group of stakeholders globally
- Ability to translate complex processes and issues into simple clear and concise steps
- Ability to convert complex contents into executive-level reports and presentations
- Ability to develop digital artefacts to improve planning, business management and third party deployment processes
- Knowledge of risks associated with engaging third parties
- Culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer needs within the HSBC values frame
- Excellent communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Highly numerate and financially literate
- High level of energy and enthusiasm
- Culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer needs within the HSBC values frame
- Potential for further development personally and professionally with the ability to take on other roles within the Group
- Intellectually curious and informed on key topics within the organisation and in the industry
