Securities Services Tech in China provides technology services and solutions for Securities Services businesses, wherein the GDTA IT Team will provide the fund related services for our business. We work in partnership with our business counterparts who rely on us for delivering innovative, robust, stable platforms to enable their investment and financial solutions for clients. These include both vendor based products and a number of award winning in-house built systems. We have a long-term vision for Securities Services Tech - a future state of architecture that is strategic and disciplined, that enables future updates and costs less. We also have objectives to constantly improve the way we deliver, with our main focus on further integrating DevOps into our business model.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced professional to take the role of Consultant Specialist in the HSBC Security Services Transfer Agency Team. The successful candidate will join our development team and be responsible to deliver multiple services for the project with quality and efficiency coordinating with global stakeholders. The candidate should be able to work in a technical-functional role as an individual contributor responsible for designing and implementing solutions as a hands-on contributor. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our business.
What you’ll do:
- Design, code, test and deliver client/server side applications (including web pages, APIs and RESTful micro-services) adhering to agreed business & architecture specifications.
- Ensuring cross-platform compatibility, optimization, responsiveness & efficiency of the applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and business operation users to carry out build and testing.
- Contribute ideas and experiences to new development solutions.
- Take security, maintenance, scalability etc. into development practices.
- Provide prompt resolution of problem/issues related to the relevant software.
- Keeping up with technology advances, input on technologies to decision makers.
- University graduate with a degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of working experience in software design, development, testing and support.
- Strong problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative to work as part of a team. Able to work with business analysts, Ops users and vendors to define the business requirements and suggest practical solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Java 8/11/17 and Micro-Services architecture. Proficient in SpringBoot, SpringCloud and Restful API development, strong knowledge in Linux, Git, Maven, Hibernate/JPA/MyBatis and RDMBS like Oracle/MS SQLServer.
- Familiar with Agile, DevOps and CI/CD toolings such as Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible.
- Fluent English (both written and spoken), must be able to adapt in global team culture and communicate with colleagues and vendors based in different locations: HK/India/Singapore/Europe (UK, Ireland, Luxembourg).
- What additional skills will be good to have?
- Previous experience as an IT Service Owner is a plus.
- Experience in Cloud technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and project experiences on Google Cloud Platform is plus.
- Experience in front end development technologies like VUE, REACT, Angular is a good advantage.
