What you’ll do:
- Lead a data engineering POD to implement the solution to business in accordance with solution design.
- Participate as a key scrum team member and responsible for all the activities in the stories.
- Manage a squad teams of data engineers performing system development work and system analysis that are data related.
- Work with Scrum master to prioritize the items from the product backlog in the sprint planning.
- Ensure the stories delivered meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget to an agreed level of quality.
- Attend every standup and other agile ceremonies.
- Participate in project meetings despite their nature and have to ensure that all the findings of the meetings are getting practically addressed in the project.
- Work closely with architecture team to deliver solutions that appropriately address business needs and timelines.
- Design, develop automated test cases during development process and make sure the test cases are incorporate into the daily build process.
- Partner with FCC teams across group, regions and local countries to develop and implement data change road-maps.
- Be responsible for delivering the MI, analytics and machine learning IT systems in use within the FCC business.
- Ability to work with different stakeholders from different locations (China, Hong Kong, UK).
- Provide guidance to data engineers on the engineering approaches to implement solution.
- 10+ years experiences in in IT development, testing, SME and support activities.
- A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Experience of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English.
- Solid knowledge of the use and development of AI/ML/BigData and Data Analytic toolings.
- Experience on converting data and related techniques to acquire data needed to support testing, training, and other application development activities.
- Understanding of DOCRA and the group data management framework.
- Understanding of Data warehouse technology stacks.
- Solid knowledge of external cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, or Ali Cloud.
- Flexible and adaptable in accommodating change of requirement and willing to take new responsibilities when necessary.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Knowledge on Investment Products, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of architecture discipline and the ability put the governance into practice, knowledge of industry standard architecture frameworks would be an advantage.
- Technical knowledge in Cyber Security experience would be an advantage.
