The Opportunity:

Our technology teams in China work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back-end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2021 and beyond, we are currently seeking Consultant Specialist to join HSBC Technology.

What you’ll do:

Connectivity Services, Network Endpoint Connectivity (NEC) domain manages Global networks which includes:

  • Branch and Campus wired and wireless networks.
  • Domestic Network Connectivity, including remote ATMs.
  • Global Access Network (International MPLS backbone), including overlay SD-WAN.
    Requisitos
    • Overall 07+ years of experience in Networking.
    • Deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructures, focusing on high availability, security, and compliance.
    • Configure and maintain Routing & Switching solutions using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASR.
    • Implement advanced WAN, LAN, and Data Center networking solutions across global HSBC locations.
    • Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN, and QoS to ensure seamless global connectivity.
    • Troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple HSBC business units.
    • Utilize tools like Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Wireshark for real-time network monitoring and optimization.
    • Conduct network risk assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with HSBC’s security policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Knowledge on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and Python for automated network provisioning.
    • Work in an Agile environment, contributing to Scrum or Kanban teams for iterative network deployments.

    What additional skills will be good to have?

    • Networking Expertise: Deep knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNP/CCIE preferred).
    • Protocols & Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, MPLS, VXLAN, SD-WAN.
    • Security & Compliance: Experience with firewalls, NAC, and Zero Trust security models.
    • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience with Cisco DNA, Sevone, HPNA, Netscout, Wireshark.
    • Knowledge of Dev-ops tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git etc.
    • Certifications (Preferred): CCNP, AWS Networking, Cisco Devnet.

    Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
