The Opportunity:
Pension Fund System (PFS) is a HSBC in-house built application which specially designed to handle the pension fund schemes registered under HongKong MPF/ORSO legislation. We are currently seeking for an experienced engineer to take on the role of Senior Software Engineer, main responsibilities of this role:
- Work closely with Technical Lead and Designer to perform development.
- Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with business/project partner to analyze business requirements and provide viable technical solutions.
Lead key code development.
Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and process automation to improve quality and efficiency of software development.
Provide system support of business applications and resolve problems that may occur during business hours and non-business hours. Ensuring the service availability according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).A16
Requisitos
8+ Years Hands-on expertise RPG400/IV, RPG Free, CL, SQL, Embedded SQL, Query & ILE.
Solid knowledge on RPG (ILE/FREE) development using Procedures, Service Programs, and Functions.
Solid knowledge on Java, Python and VB project development.
Strong experience on maintaining IT systems running on IBM iSeries platform.
Good understanding on technologies running Java based applications in LINUX/UNIX environment.
Strong understanding and working experience with CI/CD and available tools i.e usage of Jenkins, ARCAD, RDI.
Experience with writing technical analysis deliverables
Highly motivated and be able to work independently.
What additional skills will be good to have?
Knowledge on HK Pension business (MPF and ORSO) would be an advantage
Strong project management experience on system enhancement / implementation is an advantage
Cantonese speaking would be an advantage
