We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Control Manager.

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will

  • Business Continuity – support local Businesses, Functions and branches as they fulfil their business impact analysis, business continuity planning and exercise obligations and ensure robust recovery plans are in place to manage any potential service disruptions
  • Incident Management – support the embedment of the Major Incident Management (MIM) controls, including an effective market Major Incident Group (MIG) response capability (including the preparation and facilitation of MIG member training and exercises) and facilitating the MIG invocation process, management of MIG etc
  • Threat Analysis - perform threat monitoring and assessment, and provide timely escalation and updates to MIG Chair, regional BCIM team and stakeholders 
  • Operational Resilience – support the Singapore COO to ensure oversight and governance of the Global Operational Resilience framework for Singapore, including embedment of the global requirements (including Operating Instructions and Mandatory Procedures), working with relevant stakeholders from IWPB and CIB as well as Resilience Risk stewards to ensure key milestones are completed as planned, any material issues/challenges are escalated to regional and global stakeholders 
  • Third Party Assessment – support the risk assessment performed on third party suppliers to ensure they have adequate business continuity plans in place to prevent a disruption of the services provided to HSBC Singapore, and ensure any gaps identified are remediated by the third-party suppliers
  • Control Advisory – serve as the first point of contact to provide risk and control advisory and support to local stakeholders around business continuity, incident management and operational resilience related issues, queries, controls etc
  • Governance – monitor key control indicators to ensure there are no material control lapses, review new issues raised to assess impact/relevance to Singapore, review and challenge adequacy of business impact analysis, continuity plans and exercises conducted, working closely with the 2LOD risk stewards
  • Regulatory Support – support GCOO teams and relevant stakeholders on interactions with Regulators e.g. inspections, surveys, consultation papers, responses etc. and review and challenge gap analysis performed and submissions to the Regulators to ensure these are appropriate and accurate
     
Requisitos

To be successful you will need

  • Significant experience in managing incidents, training senior executives and facilitating crisis exercises; in-depth understanding of the NFR framework, and prior experience in risk and control management is a must 
  • Deep understanding of globally leading and local regulatory requirements related to business continuity, incident management and operational resilience; and ability to build and maintain relevant cross-organisation and industry relationships to keep up to date on the external landscape and provide benchmarking views of HSBC Singapore against peer activity 
  • Professional certification in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience or relevant areas, and experience in managing large scale, complex transformation/change initiatives with multiple stakeholders across geographies will be a significant advantage
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure and build and maintain regional and global team relationships and a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group 
  • High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across HSBC 
  • Extensive experience in banking/ financial services, preferably in a global organisation
