We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
The Data Change Manager role is based in DAO team. The main purpose of this position is to work with Finance and Compliance to ensure the CAT3 regulatory reporting obligations from regulators are well and timely fulfilled in HBCN in accordance with group and regulatory framework, policy, standards.
Primary Responsibilities –
- Work as delegated CAT3 numerical report owner, analyzing new reports requirements and working with Risk Steward or Compliance if further clarifications needed.
- Attend RRGF meetings on behalf of DAO as the delegated numerical report owner.
- Timely escalate and follow up with disputes cases arising from assignments according to <HBN regulatory statistic management policy>
- Review the CAT3 self-check and independent check results before any external deliveries.
- Oversight CAT3 escalated report data quality issues and drive the remediation.
- Mange RRIS on behalf of DAO and act as RMS BSO to oversight RMS system change deliveries
- Supervise CAT3 workstream level 3 R&R to ensure the timely delivery.
- Align the data governance programme to the enterprise information strategy.
- Embed and align HSBC information security strategy with any data governance programs and initiatives.
- Use specialist knowledge and expertise to identify improvements through reducing data redundancy and appropriate data reuse.
- Continually assess and identify risks in line with the HSBC risk management approach, ensuring they are mitigated and accounted for work within the data governance programme.
- Support project planning and management to ensure best practice and legal frameworks are followed with regards to data governance
- Implement Operational Effectiveness and BCBS239 in BAU
- Assist with Assurance Audit on Operational Effectiveness
· Knowledge of PBOC/NFRA/SAFE banking regulatory reporting, regulations, and basic finance knowledge and banking business knowledge
· Experience in facing and communicating regulators.
· Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results.
· Basic understanding of the data management domains such as metadata, data quality management and data lineage etc.
· Strong relationship management capabilities, with great influencing skills and gravitas
· Highly effective negotiation and interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationship with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
· Self-motivated and self-managed.
· Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a major services organization, with hands-on experience in regulatory reporting preparing and oversight is a plus.

· Relevant degree or post graduate qualification
· Proven experience of regulators handling
