As part of GFOC finance in Foshan, WOFE finance team fully perform WOFE entities financial activities covering month end closing and reporting, prepare financial and regulatory reporting as well as organise detailed management information to support business decision making. The end to end accounting process and broad internal and external communication give candidate lots of opportunities to explore accounting and finance knowledge, also to succeed their career development.
The Opportunity:
The new full FTE will be both supporting accounting work of the HSBC WOFE team and taking up banking transactions and monitoring cash flow within WOFE entities. The role will support inter-company transactions within the group and perform reconciliation and reporting.
What you’ll do:
- Preparation / review of accounting journals/entries and related system maintenance;
- Perform banking transactions and monitoring cash flow within the entities;
- Preparation/review of B/S, P/L Schedules and consolidated final accounts per US GAAP /IFRS/HI GAAP;
- Perform banking transactions and
- Perform variance analysis and other investigation;
- Preparation/review of statistic report, consolidate various party’s input;
- Produce and analyze ad hoc management information requests;
- Prepare the data analysis /interpretation for manager’s review;
- Identify opportunities for process re-engineering / improvement and participate in change initiatives;
- Pro-actively highlight/escalate issues to the manager for timely fix;
- Ensure participation in various learning initiatives to constantly upgrade their skill set.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Post graduate, working experience 3-5yrs, prior experience in Accounting/Reporting processes is a must;
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills. Good communication skills for ensuring smooth day to day interaction with In-Country teams;
- Good at written and reading English, can communicate in oral English;
- Very strong MS Office skills to interpret high data volume and facilitate automation, especially strong at Excel and Access;
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Professional Accounting / Finance Qualification such as Chartered Accountant / Certified Accountant, CPA, ACCA,CIMA etc. is a strong plus;
- Accounting knowledge of CAS, IAS & IFRS is preferred in particular leasing business;
- Transfer pricing knowledge would be a plus;
- System knowledge of Oracle / Hyperion / FTP / HUB is a plus. Strong lateral thinking/ analytical review skills.
