• Establishing effective control processes for the financial control, accounting and reporting processes of the Bank according to rules and regulations introduced by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, International Accounting and Reporting Standards (IAS-IFRS) and internal HSBC Group processes.
• Responsible for operating the bank's financial statements, performing controls and acting as a Financial Control Officer.
• Preparation and control of standalone and consolidated financial statements for BRSA inline with applicable standards.
• Participation as the main contact to the Group and Regulatory projects related to the accounting and reporting processes.
• Providing system solutions to Finance function to increase the efficiency, perform simplifications and strengthen the control environment by working the internal IT teams and vendors,
• Increasing the efficiency in the processes via simplification activities and participation of digitalization projects.
• Dealing with Independent Auditors and, if necessary, Sworn Bank Auditors, preparation of required information and reports and provision of information flow.
• Provide accounting guidance to the businesses and project teams when necessary.
• Preparing ad-hoc/regular analysis and papers for the Bank’s management.
Postulación
• A university degree from a reputable university in management, finance or Industrial engineering
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge on SQL, Access, Hyperion and similar tools are preferred
• Fluent in English - Written and Verbal
• Extensive accounting knowledge (IAS & IFRS)
• Minimum 3-4 years of Banking or Big4 Banking Audit experience
• Extensive knowledge of local regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking abilities
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong financial perspective and back ground
• Effective team player
• Ability to present desired results in a timely manner
