The Senior Manager on the FC Risk Analysis & Discovery team is responsible for managing delivery of the team’s analytical insights to Bank stakeholders and plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of analytical outputs. This role also serves to enhance the team’s skillset through guidance and mentorship, and to expand the team’s profile within the Bank as a “trusted advisor” by providing critical insight on strategic financial crime topics that support the Bank’s safe growth.

As our Financial Crime Risk Analysis and Discovery Senior Manager  you will:

  • Manage the delivery of high-quality and timely analysis products on current and emerging financial crime risks, ensuring that the majority of insights drive tangible improvements to the Bank’s control framework and culture
  • Drive further professionalisation of the programme’s horizon scanning capability to provide dynamic and genuinely proprietary insights into current and future financial crime threats, actors and typologies to Bank stakeholders
  • Ensure products meet analytical standards,  demonstrate customer relevance, and directly address implications for the Bank
  • Oversee, facilitate and support coordination and landing of products, including seeking feedback on project scope and pre-briefing findings of products
  • Ensure that insights on criminal methodologies and indicators are captured thoroughly in well-crafted financial crime typologies that contribute to the Bank’s Control Environment
  • Develop detailed understanding of skills and development needs across the team; support Managers and Analysts to develop and deliver against individual and team performance/ development plans
  • Build new stakeholder networks to broaden the reach and impact of the team’s work, increasing readership and developing tangible insights into where the team’s work adds value to the Global Businesses and Compliance colleagues
  • Contribute to constructive engagement with Bank stakeholders through regular informal interactions/networking and formal participation in relevant risk fora and working groups
  • Represent the Bank in external engagement, including with US government agencies, think tanks, industry groups, and peer banks.
    Ensure stakeholders have adequate visibility into PoA 2025 and relevant regional/global BoW, emerging risks identified through horizon scanning, key production highlights and significant inflight work

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $134,500.00 and $201,800.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Subject matter expertise of top and emerging financial crimes facing US financial institutions
  • Deep knowledge of financial crime regulatory requirements and Bank controls
  • Solid experience in managing intelligence analysis production and enhancing product quality
  • Strong ability to design multi-faceted projects, which includes expertise in devising scripts/code for bulk data pulls, analyzing and manipulating large-scale datasets, and editing/shaping finished intelligence papers
  • Polished presentation skills and experience briefing senior-level audiences on complex topics
  • Experience engaging with US government agencies and regulators as well as non-government external partners
  • Aptitude in mentoring and developing talent, team building, and upskilling junior team members
