In this role you will support the IRR Programme Director for Europe to deliver the programme outcomes. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Remediation Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on improving the quality, accuracy, and traceability of regulatory returns while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements for EBA prudential returns, reporting production processes, risk assessment, and remediation techniques to identify and address data and process control gaps.
What you’ll do:
• Provide day-to-day regulatory compliance advice to business and compliance stakeholders across Europe.• Support product governance processes, including new product approvals and pricing reviews.• Monitor and support implementation of regulatory changes and policy updates.• Assist in managing conduct risk and preparing conduct-related reporting.• Handle cross-border compliance queries and travel notifications.• Maintain records of regulatory engagements and support related reporting.• Contribute to regional and country compliance projects and initiatives.• Identify process improvements and support the effective operation of the Compliance CoE.
What you need to have to succeed in this role:
• University degree or equivalent in law, economics, finance, or a related field.• Experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within financial services.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.• Knowledge of corporate banking products and services.• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, international environment.• High level of integrity and sound judgment.• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to have:
• Legal background or regulatory knowledge.• Experience with regulatory change management tools (e.g., RAPIDII, RegMap).• Familiarity with HSBC’s compliance framework and risk taxonomy.• Proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian).• Experience working with cross-border compliance issues.
