We have a unique opportunity for you to join our team as full stack engineer within project team that builds application for central management of our data analytics metadata layer. Chief Technology Office is part of the Group Data Strategy, with a goal to transform the way we govern, managed and use all our data to its full potential across HSBC. Your expertise will also help us unlocking new insights, enhancing decision-making processes, and creating innovative solutions that drive efficiency and value for our colleagues, clients, and the broader organization.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure systems to support application used for metadata search and registry. You will leverage your expertise in Python (or Java), Fast API (or Java Spring Boot), Typescript, ReactJS to deliver robust solutions that ensure that platform remains fast, reliable, and compliant with the highest standards in the financial technology industry.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure systems to support application used for metadata search and registry.
- Leverage your expertise in Python (or Java), Fast API (or Java Spring Boot), Typescript, ReactJS to deliver robust solutions that ensure that platform remains fast, reliable, and compliant with the highest standards in the financial technology industry.
- Use agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document moderate-to-complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations.
- Collaborate with others to review specifications where appropriate.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Hands-on experience with Python, Fast API, ReactJS, Typescript.
- Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot as a plus).
- Practical experience in microservices design, data streaming, event triggers.
- Solid background in Cloud native app for cloud and on-prem deployment.
- Familiarity with JSON, SOAP/RESTful API.
