Global Procurement is part of GCOO which is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational support to our global businesses and Functions in helping improve customer service and efficiency. 
The Global Procurement Change and Innovation team helps shape and implement Global Procurement strategic change for our customers (internal and external third parties) delivering outcomes that help HSBC achieve its strategic priorities and add value to its customers. The team brings execution and change skills, design led approach and deliver at pace to translate and achieve the desired business outcomes on large, complex, cross-business and function projects including local regulatory initiatives.
Within a value stream approach, the Change Lead will be accountable for the execution and management of key strategic change programmes across Global Procurement Services including Source to Contract, Procure to Pay, Third Party Management including Supplier Management and other key areas.


What you’ll do
    • Work closely with the Global Procurement Head of Change and Innovation, Procurement Global Process Owners, Product Owners and each project team and delivery stakeholders to ensure smooth change delivery and manage and achieve delivery against the identified initiatives and outcomes.
    • Accountable for delivering all core change deliverables to the required level of quality.
    • Accountable for stakeholder engagement to ensure strong buy-in and business ownership for all strategic and tactical procurement changes; deliver effective communications, overcome challenges and resolve conflicting priorities to ensure successful implementation against plan and positive outcomes for the business.
    • Manage programme responsibilities, objectives, and task allocation to ensure the individuals are being used in accordance with their skills.
    • Manage and report on progress to stakeholders, oversee the tracking of risks/issues/dependencies to ensure all commitments are delivered within agreed cost and quality. 
    • Promote adherence to project/programme governance model and use defined standards and tools for processes such as risk logs, change control and resource requests. Adopt Global Procurement Change Governance and HSBC Change Framework. 
    • Acts as a role model to create and maintain a collaborative team environment which supports and encourages the professionalism and development of our teams. Establish relationships with key project stakeholders.
    • Build cohesive team, aligned to project delivery plan and delivering milestones. 


What you need to have to succeed in this role 
    • Strong working knowledge of procurement processes/services, awareness of Change Frameworks, Agile methodologies and best practice techniques, experience of Programme / Project Management.
    • Strong Change/People Management experience achieving stakeholder buy in, change embedding and approaches to address change reticence.
    • Ability to lead, manage and implement change programmes of a multi-functional nature and Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and influencing with senior business leaders; Ability to take complex information/challenges and simplify this for the required audiences/stakeholders.
    • Self-driven approach, extensive experience in encouraging and maintaining best practice change approaches to improve and optimize workflow, seeing opportunities for synergy and integration, simplify complex processes and maximise own productivity.
    • Detailed change impact assessments, Change Personas and Change Journeys, Stakeholder Analysis and Engagement Plans, Recognition Plans, Training Needs Analysis and Training Deployment, Usage and Adoption Plans, Business Readiness Reporting, Transition to BAU.
    • Knowledge of project management tools such as Clarity/ JIRA/ MS Office/Visio.
    • Good understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamentals of HSBC.
