One of Bank's core banking system and surrounding set of external applications are replaced by a new software solution. The project focuses on the modernization of an infrastructure and impacts all IT teams of which one of them being a Regional EMEA Payments IT team and the system & service portfolio we develop, maintain and support.
Lead Software Engineer (POD Lead - java focused) at regional EMEA IT Payments team will develop, maintain and support back-end payments related services and interfaces processing SEPA payments, SWIFT messages and internal accounting entries or will be building front-end services used internally across European region.
What you’ll do
- Leadership / mentorship over the team to success.
- Build and support services, microservices and applications (back-end & front-end) in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, ReactJS etc. while maintaining and preserving standard products.
- Reduce cost and complexity of interfacing with further surrounding systems from a “point to point” approach to a modern approach with an integration layer such as APIs, MuleSoft, Kafka topics, microservices patterns, Juniper Ingress/Egress patterns or/and WMB EAI/MQ.
- Reduce costs in testing by adopting automation testing frameworks.
- Increase Straight-Trough-Processing (STP) capabilities of services.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- At least 6 months experience in payments disbursements area.
- Proficiency in Java8+ (Java17+ preferable).
- Familiarity with JavaScript and React.
- Knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of database technologies (Oracle preferred) and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful microservices and APIs.
- Experience working in a DevOps delivery team.
