CIB Data and Analytics (CIB D&A) is a hub of advanced analytics competency, providing high-end analytics services across global businesses and global functions. The work done in CIB D&A forms a vital input towards for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making along with addressing unforeseen challenges. 
Today, the CIB D&A team generates value across the group through a wide variety of data and analytic solutions and related business consulting. CIB D&A has become a one-stop shop for the CIB D&A section of the group’s analytic needs leading the integration of analytics and data-driven decisions not only in traditional areas such as CIB D&A & Commercial Banking but also in new domains such as Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Credit & Lending, IT Infrastructure, and Financial Crime Risk. It provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development & implementation, Business Intelligence, reporting and data management and analysis. The team based out of multiple locations across the GSCs (India/China/Mexico/Poland) providing analytics, data & insight support to various CIB D&A, CMB/ GB portfolios. Team’s focus is on using logical thought process and relevant statistical techniques and right tools & techniques & productize scaled solutions to analyse product portfolio metrics and risk behaviour to arrive at value-based optimum decisions. 
The role in the Change Management team supports GRADE (Global Risk Analytics Data Environment) platform analytical projects. Our data is pivotal for WCR (Wholesale Credit Risk) model development, validation, and monitoring at HSBC. We handle risk data through activities such as ingesting data from internal and external sources, measuring and monitoring data quality, and providing visualizations. Our responsibilities also include Wholesale Credit Risk peer benchmarking, GRADE platform security, capacity management, user support, onboarding, and change management. We collaborate with global teams on risk data BAU activities and projects.

What you’ll do
    • GRADE User Support Management– trouble shooting, user communication, incident communication and escalation, liaising between users and IT.
    • Oversight of GRADE user on-boarding activities – access requests, user trainings and user documentation management.
    • Support GRADE capacity management – utilization reports review, user communication and review activities, incident communication and escalation.
    • Support GRADE Data Security Framework - reviews, processing changes to the security model if required, documentation management.
    • Support GRADE change management process (JIRA, Service Now, Confluence, sprint planning, deploy gates, etc).
    • Support GRADE change communication management (presentations, training materials, user communication etc).
    • Support migration of GRADE to CIB Data Platform.
    • Effectively manage relationships across key functional teams, work with management to prioritize business and information needs, encourage and drive process improvement opportunities.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Solid and relevant experience in a similar role.
    • Previous experience in IT user support is desirable.
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a numerate subject; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Service Now, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint.
    • Ability to comprehend complex data architecture, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Multitasking ability and the capacity to work under pressure within tight timelines are essential.
    • Open personality with effective communication skills and the flexibility to work in an international team.
    • Basic knowledge of programming tools like SAS, SQL, Hadoop Big Data, Python is a plus.
