Your career opportunity
The job holder would be a part of Reporting team within Product Control department in Krakow (Controllership, Finance). Main responsibilities include ensuring that financial instruments of the Markets and Securities Services business are appropriately valued and controlled with respect of best practices which incorporate IFRS accounting standard, HSBC Group policies, procedures and other relevant guidance.

What you’ll do
    • Manage a global team contributing to Product Control Valuations Reporting deliverables.
    • Supervise the financial reporting process for FVA (Fair Value Adjustment) and IPV (Independent Price Verification).
    • Oversee regulatory reporting for PVA (Prudent Valuation) and FVL (Fair Value Levelling).
    • Prepare and review appropriate Management Information for various governance committees.
    • Deliver a single view of the P&L and Balance Sheet through cooperation with other Product Control functions and wider Financial Reporting teams.
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders including Front Office, Traded Risk, IT, Operations and other Finance teams.
    • Drive continuous improvement across the reporting end to end process, increasing efficiency, automation and improving controls.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing to manage relationships with stakeholders at various levels of seniority and different backgrounds.
    • Ability to manage review sessions with senior stakeholders, structuring presentation of key data to address key analytical review control outcomes.
    • Robust understanding of financial & regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Good knowledge of financial instruments, their accounting treatment and valuation techniques.
    • Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
    • Strong IT skills are preferred, including experience with MS Excel and Python.
    • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, or FRM) or qualified by experience.
    • University graduate from a reputed institution in financial or economic subject or university graduate in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 19175 PLN - 26000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
