Your career opportunity
As a Senior Control Manager within the GCIO Chief Control Office (CCO), you will partner with IWPB IT to manage operational risk and strengthen the control environment. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping ensure the bank operates securely and within its risk appetite.
What you’ll do
- Act as a trusted advisor to IWPB IT leadership on operational risk and control matters.
- Oversee the risk and control portfolio for services provided to and consumed from the Group.
- Lead risk assessments, control monitoring, and issue management activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in risk governance, control design, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all three lines of defense and global teams.
- Support regulatory and internal governance forums, including RCMM and Service Line Reviews.
- Promote a strong risk culture and data-driven decision-making.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on risk-related developments and initiatives.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Strong experience in technology risk management, governance, and control frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of Operational Resilience, Cybersecurity, and IT Risk (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ITIL).
- Experience in risk assessment, issue management, and control effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to present complex issues clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in IT, Operations, Risk Management, or Audit roles.
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Nice to have:
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, COBIT, or ITIL.
- Experience in financial markets or exposure to banking products.
- Background in data control, cybersecurity, or infrastructure risk.
- Experience working in a global matrix organization.
- Bilingual proficiency in English or additional languages.
