Your career opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer. You will be a key contributor embedded with in an Agile cross functional team, which driving innovation, delivering HSBC products in SDLC. You will help to drive the continuous improvement of our processes, tooling and engineering practices.
As a Senior Full Stack Engine your primary responsibilities will be the day-to-day software development for Accounts project. You will collaborate with engineering teams from different locations, supporting project delivery activities but also BAU post system Go Live.

What you’ll do
- Work with both your team and other cross functional teams to plan and develop technologies, processes and Tools to deliver frequently, safely and efficiently for millions of HSBC customers.
- Build and maintain scalable full stack applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Drive technical improvements such as migrating frontend apps from large monorepo for better maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to uphold high code quality and consistency.
- Monitor and support production systems using AppDynamics, Splunk, xMatters, and CloudWatch.
- Collaborate with API engineers, QAs, and PMs to deliver features aligned with business goals.
- Analyse requirements to fully understand solutions and recommend improvements.
- Take greater initiative in DevOps and platform improvements, shaping infrastructure and deployment workflows
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure platforms
- Good understanding of using an object orientated programming language
- AppDynamics, Splunk, xMatters, and CloudWatch
- Working experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript
- Jenkins, GitHub
- Written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
