Global Markets Product Control is a division of Global Banking and Markets Finance responsible for the production and independent validation of Global Markets' profit and loss and balance sheet. In this regard, Product Control will ensure, inter alia, that accounting policies are correctly and consistently applied, and that Trading portfolios are appropriately valued. The daily process involves daily & monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations and substantiation as well as reporting activities and close engagement with various senior stakeholders in Product control, IT, Operations, Change and Business to meet business requirements as they may arise.

What you’ll do
Lead the daily production of Profit & Loss within specific Global Markets trading desks, work alongside Front Office traders and sales managers to resolve any variances between estimated and actual figures, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Verify the accuracy of P&L attribution, ensuring the P&L is correctly allocated across various factors, including market effects, new trades, time effects, and other pricing / valuation components.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of daily trading and sales revenues, producing detailed commentary on P&L, including main drivers, trading activity, key exposures, and financial market context.
Conduct monthly comparisons of P&L with General Ledger balances, to identify and explain any variations.
Oversee and assist with month-end General Ledger closure and substantiation of the Balance Sheet, to ensure accurate recording and accounting of all trading and non-trading activities.
Represent the department in various meetings, actively participate in strategic discussions, provide analysis, explanation, and commentary on periodic movements in P&L and Balance Sheet, and present the results to senior management, front office, financial reporting and other stakeholders.
Challenge business performance and trading activity, identify patterns and behaviours to detect anomalies, and report potential risks, or fraudulent activities.
Ensure full compliance with Global Markets Functional Instruction Manuals (FIM) and regulatory requirements, adhere to ethical standards and performance expectations. 

What you need to have to succeed in this role
  University graduate from a reputed institution in financial or economic subject or university graduate in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
2+ years of proven experience in product control or a similar role within the financial markets industry.
Good knowledge of financial markets and products, including their lifecycle, pricing and valuation, trading operations, P&L analysis, risk management and accounting principles.
Experience with P&L Analysis, Balance Sheet reconciliations, or Financial Reporting.
Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically, independently and with minimal supervision.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to interpret financial data, draw meaningful insights and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 10166 PLN - 13000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
