Tax team within Reporting Operation in GFOC Kraków is considered as a team of experts able to support business partners in daily tax compliance as well as to streamline and standardize tax compliance processes. Therefore, it is crucial for the job holder to provide top quality tax compliance services.
The responsibility of the role holder will be to support and coordinate for the fiscal consolidation process and tax compliance for the French Fiscal Group led by HSBC Bank Plc, Paris Branch (core) and its subsidiaries (“the Entity"). The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Tax reporting - HBCE in the calculation of direct and indirect tax for the Entity, the submission of the returns/declarations to tax authorities and the reporting and forecasting of taxes for the perimeter.
What you’ll do
- Prepare the annual tax reporting for the Entity, including corporate income tax, CVAE, C3S, TVA. Ensuring timely submission of all required data in line with the tax laws, procedures and KPIs.
- Ensure tax compliance in other areas relevant for the Entity, including CFE, TF, TVTS if applicable.
- Manage the tax Integration process for the France Fiscal Group including tax payments to the French Tax Authorities.
- Perform quarterly analytical review of the French Fiscal Group results for the purposes of communication to management on consolidated results.
- Deliver quarterly ETR forecast for the French Fiscal Group.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax presentation for senior management review covering ETR, forecasts, DTA recoverability, etc.
- Participate in the elaboration of the quarterly and annual report and accounts, providing commentary and analysis where required.
- Advise on tax accounting impact of strategic transformation programmes and new legislations.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Proven previous experience in the area of tax compliance / tax advisory / tax accounting.
- Very good knowledge and understanding of tax rules and regulations.
- Experience in the area of banking taxation will be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excel literacy is required.
- Very good understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal & written English and French skills is a must.
- Attention to details and problem solving attitude.
- Ability to work under time pressure and meet tight deadline.
