We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Protective Security (PS) Access Control Manager.

Protective Security (PS) has responsibility for managing physical risk arising from a number of different sources which are primarily criminal in nature or intent – armed robbers, opportunist thieves, organised gangs, terrorists, social or political activists, vandals etc. Protective Security also manages a number of activities which fall outside this including executive/close protection, event security, travel security, personal risk assessments, residential security surveys and kidnap and ransom.

The primary purpose of the role is to act as a subject matter expert, providing specialist security advice, support and guidance across the Bank, specifically PS. The role holder will engage with market/regional PS teams to drive operational efficiencies and change across PS. They will be an individual with a progressive mindset who can implement consistent regional and global frameworks along with digitisation and standardisation within markets and regions by adopting the colleague and customer experience at the heart of everything they do.

In this role you will:

• Directly influence the PS strategy to deliver a consistent, digitally enabled PS function
• Proactively engage with market PS colleagues to provide SME support and guidance and ensure consistency with global standards
• Proactively engage in delivering training, knowledge share sessions and relevant initiatives as required
• Support incidents/investigations to formulate reports and provide recommendations
• Carry out risk assessments and evaluate solutions within tight timescales  
• Identify and analyse opportunities to drive simplification, embed automation and technology to enhance colleague/customer experience and security
 

Requisitos

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Strong technical expertise in security technologies including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and electronic security systems.
• Proven experience delivering complex security projects across multiple markets, with solid knowledge of network and endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Strategic and commercial mindset, with skills in risk management, third-party contract management, and decision-making under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including negotiation, collaboration, and relationship management at senior levels.
• Well-organized and customer-focused self-starter, passionate about security and capable of working in dynamic environments.
• Skilled in MI (Management Information) reporting, data analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making and risk management.
• Desirable qualifications include Physical Identity and Access Management (PIAM) programme delivery , familiarity with HSBC Group, and prior risk/control-related roles.

This role is based in Leeds, Birmingham or Edinburgh, Hybrid.
