The primary objective of the role is to partner with the US and Americas CFO and support them in the smooth and efficient running of the Finance team, including staff engagement, training and communications activities; managing the change portfolio, managing the department’s cost base, and supporting the CFO personally in the discharge of their responsibilities, particularly as regards board and governance. Oversight of business management including cost reporting, forecasting and annual FRP process – leveraging Global Finance COO CoE where possible. As well as determining specific people initiatives required to maintain an energized, diverse and adequately skilled workforce in HNAH Finance.

The role holder will be required to have excellent stakeholder management, listening and influencing skills to ensure that the revised operating model addresses the requirements identified as part of the “voice of our customers” survey.  The key focus is creating capacity and removing duplication/non-value add activities to optimize the workforce available and building future skills required to support the businesses and functions.

As our Head of Finance Strategy Execution and Change, US you will:

  • Works directly to support the CFO HNAH and their team to drive and manage the function across various activities including operating model, organizational design, communication, people initiatives, core business management
  • Responsible for accurate and timely cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting process for the function including headcount and position management, identification of cost levers to ensure annual FRP target is achieved
  • Provide support across leadership team (as required) on people initiatives including D&I, workforce planning, skills assessment, learning & development, succession planning/talent management and annual snapshot survey results
  • Responsible for the identification, proactive management and escalation of non-financial risks in the area the role supports (excluding Financial Reporting Risk)
  • Direct and indirect management and leadership of business managers supporting the HNAH Finance area to ensure consistency of service proposition from COO function (i.e. business management, people initiatives, communication strategy, governance forums etc.), some as part of the COO Centre of Excellence in Global Service Center (GSC)
  • Key part of Global Finance COO leadership team to enable connectivity and collaboration across wider function and ability to contribute to wider priorities and BoW
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and executing regular communication plans including exchange sessions, townhalls, leadership briefings, announcements of organizational changes (as required)
  • Partner with Head of Finance Transformation and Value Stream Leads to support transformation agenda and mobilize required SME resourcing/workforce to support BAU and change agenda to enable streamlining of processes and operating model for the entity

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $250,000.00 and $330,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You’ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Finance experience (i.e. strong understanding of cost, forecasting and budgeting process) and/or accountancy qualification preferred
  • Ability to lead and influence a wide range of stakeholders, customers and teams
  • Understanding of the change framework at HSBC and ability to manage a number of competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to form effective relationships across HSBC
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English) including ability to articulate requirements in a way that makes sense to businesses/functions and Finance (where required)
  • Proven track record and growth mindset to effectively lead and implement strategic change and robust solutions across large global teams
  • Open, curious and change mindset to drive process improvement, efficiency and automation/innovation.
  • Use data analysis, judgement, interpretation of issues to understand problems and come up with effective solutions which support strategic priorities
  • Create a culture that values and respects individuals and motivates employees to grow and develop
