We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Global Payments Solutions sales team as the Head of Global Network Banking, North India. This role is at GCB 4.

Global Payment Solutions (GPS) is made up of almost 10,000 colleagues across 58 countries and territories. This business is uniquely positioned to help clients make payments across borders, currencies and regulations, quickly and efficiently with dedicated in-country and regional support. Principal Responsibilities

·                  Build and execute a sales strategy in conjunction with GNB coverage team in the area

             Accountable for Financial performance (EBV and expense targets)

             Account planning for all key GNB accounts in the area with deliverables agreed with coverage team; quarterly review of progress against account plans

             Assume practice leadership as assigned (e.g. Sales process, Solutioning, marketing etc.)

             Execute governance process with the leadership of GNB segment in the area

             Direct management of area GNB Sales team – includes Coaching, performance and talent management

             Ensure compliance with GPS Sales procedures and practices

             On site leadership role to coordinate on behalf of INM GPS sales leadership and the regional leadership team

 

Client and stakeholder management

             Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, including senior management and treasury departments.

             Work closely with internal stakeholders across the global HSBC network, such as Relationship Managers, Product Development, Client Services and Client Implementation teams, to engage directly with clients to meet their daily global payments solutions needs as well as seamless solution delivery. Thereby ensuring outstanding banking experience for HSBC’s key clients across GPS products and solutions.

             Gather client feedback and relay it to product teams to help drive new developments and product enhancements.

             Serve as an ambassador for the HSBC brand by participating in industry events and promoting the bank's profile.

 

Market expertise and risk management

        Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, economic factors, and regulatory changes affecting international business and payments.

        Contribute to the pricing, review, and negotiation of cash management services.

        Ensure compliance with all internal guidelines and external regulations throughout the sales cycle and solution delivery.

 

 

Requisitos

·               Experience: Proven sales or relationship management experience in a corporate or transactional banking environment, with a focus on global cash management and payments products. Prior experience of handling large corporates and their requirements in this domain would be preferred.

             Product knowledge: Extensive knowledge of global payments, treasury, liquidity, and cash management products, techniques, and clearing services.

             Business acumen: A high level of commercial awareness, analytical skills, and the ability to deliver creative and flexible solutions.

             Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and interact confidently at all levels, both internally and externally. Experience in running complex Request for Proposals (RFP) would be advantageous.

             Professional qualifications: Postgraduate, preferably with an MBA with at least 13-15 years of post-qualification experience with proven track record in the domain of cash management. A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, finance) is typically required. A Certificate in International Cash Management or other professional treasury certifications are advantageous.

             Mindset: Proactive, team player, results-oriented, and self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher

Eligibility Criteria 

  • India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.
  • Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted.
  • INM Employees in scope of WPB Career Progression Framework not eligible to apply to roles within the purview of the Framework   

Additional Information 

  • Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
