The UK Sector team will comprise of 8 sub-teams of industry experts covering Agrifoods, Education & Not for Profit, Healthcare, Manufacturing & Industrials, Professional & Business Services, , Retail & Leisure, Technology, and Franchise. Each team manages their respective national sector strategy, working closely with the various UK CMB businesses (Large & Leveraged Corporates, MME, BB & ISB), CMB UK product partners and Structured Finance teams to support origination, client planning, content and networking efforts.

 

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable individual for the role of Sector Head, Head of Healthcare.

 

The Sector Head is responsible for developing all of the Relationship Directors who have healthcare clients to ensure delivery of the financial plan and deliver best in class customer experience in line with the corporate strategy.  They will ensure the acquisition of quality new Healthcare sector relationships to HSBC by creating opportunities through their network, and by supporting coverage teams in converting these opportunities.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Enhance the quality of the relationship dialogue, developing effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment.
  • Create “Centres of Excellence” that allows for the sharing of information and best practices, sector analysis and content to support origination, execution and risk management.
  • Direct client transaction support via knowledge of deals and market.
  • Oversight of client sector strategies and capital deployment for the sector.
  • Drive revenues across the HSBC product suite, collaborating with Product Partners and aligning with GB Sector Bankers to maximise financing and Markets opportunities.
  • Grow sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new quality customers and proactively grow international/cross border revenue.
  • Support CMB UK Relationship Directors with proactive and stretching relationship building/customer contact plans and pipeline management for both existing and new customers, to deepen penetration for customer wallet.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell group product and services as appropriate and ensure this is concluded successfully for the Bank and the customer.
  • Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business and sector changes e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.

 

 

Requisitos

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

  • Experience in managing complex commercial relationships with international needs is essential.
  • Robust commercial lending, risk assessment and the analysis of cashflows is essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the latest developments in the Sector and clear understanding of the areas where HSBC can utilise the Sector agenda as a growth accelerator is a pre requisitite.
  • Having a knowledge and experience of the healthcare market is preferred.  The role holder will need to develop strategies to win business in the key vertcials within the healthcare sector, including private hospitals, fertility, dentistry, pharmacies, diagnostics, optometry, cosmetic  procedures, care homes etc 
  • Experience in structuring complex credit deals for clients and close engagement with Global Banking and Markets products, with exeperience of deals within the Sector.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.
  • Wide personal connections within the group and outside the group (including relevant trade associations and groups).

 

This is a hybrid position with the ideal base location being 71 Queen Victoria Street, London.  We would also welcome applications from those that can be based anywhere in the UK and have access to a local Commercial Banking centre.  There is a requirement to travel UK wide for client meetings on a regular basis, so it is important that the successful candidate can travel frequently.

Qualifications 

This role is subject to the requirements of Certification Regime, set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Candidates must either have attained the CISI Level 3 Certificate in Corporate Finance, or should be committed to completing this qualification within 1 year of being in role.
