International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) is the Division’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the UK subsidiaries of overseas CMB customers within the Large Corporate and Mid-Market segments. The ISB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The ISB business is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 50 countries worldwide managing over 35,000 subsidiary client relationships.

We are currently seeking an experience and customer focused person to join our team in the role of Head of ISB Portfolio Managed.

The individual will manage a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) serving customers and is responsible for managing and coaching the team for improved performance and delivering business objectives at a team level.

The tasks for this role will include some or all of the following:

·       Lead the execution of business objectives to drive revenue and achieve the Annual Operating Plan targets and key performance indicators, whilst building a sustainable business model

·       Direct resources to achieve both Rolling Operating Plan targets and long-term growth in line with strategic plans through appropriate relationship building, customer contact plans and pipeline management for new and existing customers

·       Responsible for identifying sales opportunities that address specific needs for our clients and managing these from identification to point of sale

·       Drive sales and associated activities and monitor the key metrics to ensure employee productivity is meeting and/or exceeding market norms

·       Build and maintain business relationships with clients in assigned area of responsibility

·       Drive proactive collaboration with product partners, international colleagues, and other Global Businesses to deliver maximum value of HSBC products and services and to contribute to continued servicing of customer needs and deepening the existing relationships

·       Confidently manage all areas of risk for the team, including credit risk, operational risk and financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk

Requisitos

 

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

·       Experience of leading the delivery of an excellent customer service and able to proactively look for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers.

·       Proven experience of leading others and creating an environment that supports and inspires people to develop, and deliver is essential.

·       Proficient written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations

·       A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes

·       Ability to effectively plan and organise, with tenacity to drive through results 

·       Strong commercial acumen with proficient lending, risk assessment, trade finance experience being essential.  Cross border experience, dealing with clients with international interests would be advantageous.

·       Strong credit assessment skills, particularly with regard to more complex and structured facilities.

This is a hybrid role based in London.  The successful applicant will be required to travel nationally on occasion for meetings, collaboration and client contact, so the ability to travel occasionally is essential.
