  • Finance Cloud Transformation will rationalise operational processes, automate data and report production, to deliver comprehensive data to our internal and external stakeholders for analysis and reporting. The programme will entail migration of core Finance data and processes to the cloud, with an initial phase to implement a standard global operating process for Finance actuals report production, followed closely by forecast data and report production. Key programme outcomes are to deliver a singular automated data production processing capability for actuals and forecasting, correction of data once for all downstream calculations, reports and outputs, introducing automated preventative and detective controls, significantly reduce manual activity in the run-time actuals process to allow the production of all actuals outputs by working day 5 for a monthly process. The Requirement Analyst will be expected to support the delivery of data related activities within the Cloud programme. Various aspects may include Requirement Gathering, Data Validation, solution functionality validation, data gap analysis, reconciliation, user tooling or automation testing activities.

The Opportunity:

  • The role has been created to manage Global Finance change initiatives and to ensure change delivery in a globally consistent, coherent and effective manner.
  • The role holder will operate at Analyst level and engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders across the bank. A key element of this role is to manage relationships in Finance, HOST, Risk and the business.
  • The role holder will work effectively across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • The role holder will influence, motivate and guide stakeholders and team members.

What you’ll do:

  • Review all LIQ Risk reports from functional as well as detail validation perspective and recommending automated solutions to minimize operational risk and time. 
  • Review requirements from business users on data validations, reconciliations and data elements for all Liquidity reports.
  • Supporting Liquidity Risk Requirements Lead in planning and tracking progress of Requirements work stream.
  • Supporting wider Finance data related initiatives, including resolution of upstream data initiatives, investigation and prioritization of data issues, liaising with IT / Design teams to support delivery of data sourcing changes.
  • Working with upstream IT to resolve Global Data Quality issues and create a Requirements Operating Model
  • Provide worldwide sites with effective communication of analytics on requirements.
  • Work closely with diverse Business and IT teams, to ensure outstanding requirement issues / sourcing are being discussed and solutions rolled out.
  • Facilitate issue resolution to ensure that the schedule of each work stream remains on track and that any issues are resolved through appropriate, agreed solutions.
  • Perform Requirement Gap analysis and raise requirements for upcoming projects to relevant teams.
  • Role holder will be responsible to present requirements in various forums and follow requirements governance process.
  • Facilitate issue resolution to ensure that the schedule of each work stream remains on track and that any issues are resolved through appropriate, agreed solutions.
  • The role holder will work with a large Global Finance team that delivers complex transformational and important regulatory change on Liquidity Reporting Metrics
  • The role will require supporting teams/activities across multiple global regions.
  • There are no line management responsibilities for this role.
  • Role holder will be aiding other change delivery functions like Design, testing etc. to deliver targeted model.
  • Work with dynamic plans in a fast-moving environment, continually assessing priorities and progress and adjusting course where necessary, being sure to maintain alignment with other programme work streams.
  • The role holder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
  • Also, by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.

Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Process knowledge – The candidate should be able to understand the end-to-end process and the implications of that process for testing including elements of accounting and finance processes.
  • Solution knowledge – The candidate should be able to understand the end-to-end solution and the implications of that solution for testing including infrastructure, technology, and interface design.
  • Testing Methodologies – The Analyst should have some understanding of approaches to testing – Waterfall, vmodel, Agile to include Acceptance criteria for Testing teams.
  • Scope: The role holder will typically deal with supporting the delivery of large scale, complex, global change, which spans organization boundaries.
  • Sign off and benefits realization: The role holder must support business sign off to agree the project transition to business as usual, while ensuring all necessary ongoing activities are in place to drive benefits realization.
  • Evolving plans: The role holder must work with dynamic plans in a fast-moving environment, continually assessing priorities and progress and adjusting course where necessary, being sure to maintain the buy-in of stakeholders.
  • Exposure to Requirements and Design workstreams
  • An understanding of the principles of Finance data and report
  • Proficient in interrogating databases via SQL queries
  • An understanding of systems delivery lifecycles and testing principles
  • Proficient in the use of test tools (such as Quality Centre) and test processes (e.g., defect management)
  • Be able to formulate test strategies and confident in running a successful test phase.
  • An appreciation of systems and data architectures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project) Educational Requirements Educated to minimum of degree level or equivalent Personal Skill Requirements
  • Ability to professionally and effectively present information
  • Proficiency in problem solving.
  • A self-starter with excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Financial Services Test Experience across both internal reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in testing, driven by IT systems implementation or enhancement, across a large organization Experience of working in a large banking organization preferred.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Educated to minimum of degree level or equivalent.
  • Exposure to Liquidity Risk Reporting for a minimum period of 3 years with focus on business analysis and raising requirements.
