Risk and Compliance - Special Credit Unit

Hang Seng's Risk and Compliance ("RKM") strives to maintain a well-balanced risk profile for the Bank while enabling businesses to thrive. Our team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types. We are dedicated to collaborate with businesses, other functional units and regulatory bodies to develop and implement robust and customized risk management frameworks and measures to maintain the strong market position of the Bank.

Special Credit Unit (“SCU”) is responsible for corporate recovery. Its major duties include managing non-performing loans, and assessing related impairment provisions / write-offs of corporate portfolio.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Manager, Special Credit Unit (Account Management).

Principal responsibilities

  • To assist the Head of Special Credit Unit to plan, direct and control all aspects of corporate recovery function for the Bank (both HASE and HACN portfolio).
  • To oversee the overall trend of NPL and specific impairment provision.
  • To formulate corporate recovery strategies and to implement recovery actions to ensure maximum recovery returns / business opportunities, and to minimize credit loss/costs of the Bank.
  • To do event-based, thematic review on co-managed accounts or other designated high risk accounts to identify risk and credit concerns and to set proactive risk mitigation strategies with key stakeholders to contain potential losses.
  • To perform work relating to financial, regulatory and management reporting.
Requisitos
  • Degree Holder in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Risk Management or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in credit risk management or corporate recovery in a regulated environment.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively under tight timeline.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills who possess the flexibility to deal effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua.
