HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Officer.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

• Perform oversight and ensure all clients and service providers are operating in accordance with relevant rules and regulations as prescribed by the regulators and the constitutional documents of REITs
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and report breaches of the regulations directly to clients and senior management
• Review monthly financial statement and documents provided by fund manager and relevant checklists
• Handle cash flow and distribution requirements with fund manager and registrar
• Liaise with clients to discuss issues and enquiries on the operations of REITs. Liaise with clients if there are any operational incidents
• Partner with internal service providers, third party agents, fund manager, legal advisors and auditors to address queries and issues in an effective manner
• Assist in reviewing prospectus, circular, announcement, trust deed and other legal documents
• Assist in handling ad hoc projects 
• Familiar with SFC REIT code and SFC RA13
• Provide trustee advisory service addressing client enquires

To be successful you will need

• University degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in trustee, securities services and related fields
• Sound knowledge of REITs industry, particularly trustee product and responsibilities. Familiar with local statutory requirements and regulations e.g.  SFC, MPFA, HKMA regulations
• Considerable understanding of technology and systems supporting the product
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing abilities
• Self-driven and require minimal guidance and supervision 
• Good analytical skills and decision-making ability
• Ability to demonstrate ownership and management of issues
• Strong team working ability and capable of encouraging ideas and input from team members
• Ability to balance client relationship management with maintaining independent oversight and supervision
