The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) was established to transform HSBC into a truly data-driven organisation by ensuring that every design decision has a built-in data consideration. The role primarily supports the Build Sustainable Capabilities pillar of the strategy.

To continue driving the DAO strategy and help to meet our board level commitments, we are now seeking a high calibre professional and self-motivated Project Manager to join our Data team.

DAO Project Managers plan, mobilise and drive projects of high complexity and scale from project definition to closure. They are responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of projects with multiple workstreams proactively balancing scope, schedule, budget, RAIDs, teams, outcomes, and benefits.

In this fantastic, new role, you will be responsible for deploying the Future State Architecture (FSA) delivery within HSBC Change Framework guidelines and coordinate across teams executing through the AGILE methodology.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the Programme Manager and DAO Portfolio Management team to ensure alignment of their project(s) with the wider change portfolio and DAO Strategy.
  • Influence the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments, and changes.
  • Own responsibility for resources within the project. Lead by example and manage resource to effectively deliver outcomes.
  • Lead change initiative(s), establishing robust project governance including clear sponsorship in accordance with HSBC’s Change Framework.
  • Lead effective project delivery utilising different change methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid etc. Highlighting, escalating, and resolving risks, issues and dependencies and tracking updates. Make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
Requisitos

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Exceptional understanding of Data, in particular data domain expertise within data controls, is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of data change and associated operational functions.
  • Proven track record of mobilising complex projects including leading end to end planning, RAID management, outcomes, and benefits.
  • Extensive project management skills and experience of managing large and complex global projects in a change environment is paramount.
  • Proven delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated outcomes with strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach.
