  • The Employee Vetting team is responsible to take risk-based decision by assessing the global suppliers’ output and managing the vendor performance.

The Opportunity:

  • The Employee Vetting function is responsible for developing and advancing standards and procedures to identify and mitigate fraud and other related risks and for operating the Bank’s vetting operations. The role holder will support delivery of all vetting responsibilities as directed by the Regional Head of Employee Vetting.   Adherence to Group Fraud / Vetting policy is essential except where regulatory or legal restrictions requires an alternative solution.

What you’ll do:

  • Support vetting management and vetting operations related to the region.
  • Ensure effective processes are in place to provide service between HSBC and the vendor, including regular engagement and challenge of processes, invoices, etc.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the unique aspects and challenges of each Business Line to enable targeted messaging and service to be provided.
  • The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes, and objectives
  • Good knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc.
  • Proven experience of supporting stakeholders and of driving forward change.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
  • Have good interpersonal communication and presentation skill.
  • Project and/or change management skills is advantageous.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, work independently toward stakeholder, complete assignments timely and facilitate any audit review.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Data analytics skill, strategic thinking, learning agility.
