The opportunity: Sales Manager, Corporates, GPS

What you will do:
The Sales Manager supports the growth of GPS in Italy by (i) driving and managing inbound business for Global Network Banking (GNB) clients, (ii) acting as a key support and delegate for the Country Head of GPS on administrative, governance and risk activities, and (iii) serving as the “trait d’union” across internal product partners and external market bodies to ensure HSBC remains aligned to market, regulatory and product developments.
In this role you will:
• Own and manage the inbound sales process for GNB-related opportunities, ensuring timely qualification, prioritisation and progression through the sales pipeline
• Support business development by identifying revenue opportunities within inbound requests and existing client activity (e.g., data mining, volume/revenue risers & fallers, pricing reviews).
• Prepare client proposals, RFP responses and pitch materials for non-complex opportunities, ensuring commercial discipline and a strong client experience
• Provide structured administrative and business management support to the Country Head of GPS Italy (planning, reporting, meeting packs, actions tracking, communications)
• Support governance routines and local/regional regulatory processes, including preparation for internal audits, process documentation, and contributions to risk assessment activities.
• Act as a bridge between product partners and market oversight (internal & external)
You should apply if you have:
• Sound knowledge of local and regional cash management and clearing services, products and techniques, and extensive relevant experience
• Strong analytical and sales skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
• Desirable: knowledge of global cash management; experience in an international banking environment; understanding of corporate treasury, payments, FX; relevant professional qualifications.
