We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior AI Product Owner. This is a crucial for CIB’s AI transformation, ensuring initiatives are using agreed AI capabilities and reference architecture, aligned with business goals, and deliver tangible outcomes. It is a highly delivery-focused position requiring a hands-on approach to execute AI initiatives.

A further core emphasis is on the commercialisation of AI to drive adoption and realise financial benefits, alongside continuous product development to keep the bank at the forefront of AI innovation.

In this role you will:

•    Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategic roadmap for AI-driven solutions. This ensures alignment with the bank's overarching objectives and market demands.
•    Collaborate with business units to identify and prioritise high ROI AI use cases that align with CIB's strategic objectives.
•    Create, maintain, and rigorously prioritise the AI product backlog and roadmap. This ensures transparency and alignment with business value, customer feedback, and strategic goals.
•    Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI products from ideation through to launch. This includes ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and meet high-quality standards.
•    Drive the successful adoption and commercialisation of AI use cases across CIB, ensuring that they deliver strong ROI justifying the effort to deliver.
•    Provide SME expertise on how to translate enhanced efficiency delivered generative AI, into tangible cost savings.
•    Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on delivery progress, financial benefits and cost savings.
•    Act as the primary liaison, fostering strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders. The role involves translating complex business needs into actionable plans.

Requisitos

To be successful in this role you should have:

•    Hands on experience of delivering and embedding AI / Gen AI Capabilities into the business
•    Proven experience in delivering complex projects is required, with a significant focus on the delivery and rollout of software into a business. A strong track record of overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects from ideation to successful deployment is necessary.
•    Strong background in programme/project management and change management is essential, including ability to manage large scale portfolio of initiatives, experience overseeing delivery teams and working knowledge of managing financials at HSBC.  
•    Understanding of AI/ML concepts and technologies (e.g., deep learning, NLP, generative AI, LLMs, RAG frameworks).
•    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to be the bridge between the business and technical deployment teams.
•    Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
•    An ability to drive the commercialisation of technology products.  
•    An understanding of control frameworks, regulatory policies, and ethical considerations specifically related to AI/ML within the financial sector is required. This includes knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
•    Genuine interest in the transformative power of AI and a strong desire to be at the forefront of AI-driven business change.
•    Eagerness to identify and implement AI solutions that support strategic business goals and foster innovation.
