  • The HSBC Infrastructure Finance group (HIF), comprised of Infrastructure Finance and Export Finance, provides a full suite of financing solutions to corporates and financial sponsors. The team provides a central point for clients to access product agnostic advice on financing, capital structure and structured debt capital markets, as well as execution of infrastructure, project and export finance lending mandates. HIF consists of over 160 employees located in 14 countries with key hubs in London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.   • HIF will play a critical role in financing the energy transition for our clients and we are focused to increase our provision of financing to key energy transition sub-sectors, to monetise the transition and deliver incremental revenue for the bank.

The Opportunity:

  • The Analyst will support Business Management activities, working alongside the HIF COO team and collaborating with the business and functions. The analyst will be providing support in achieving business objectives and to deliver strategic solutions that drive long term and sustainable growth, while ensuring organisational alignment.

What you’ll do:

  • As a member of the HIF COO team, assist the COO team and alongside the business to define, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives supporting timely delivery and desired outcomes

  • Support ongoing reviews and improvements of operational processes to align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to support business and operational initiatives.

  • Assist in preparing high-quality management reports, business updates, and executive-level presentations.

  • Help manage and develop end-to-end data collation and reporting processes for the HIF business across regions (e.g., pipeline tracking, performance metrics, and dashboards).

  • Support to transformation initiatives by coordinating project timelines, action trackers, and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Partner with global business teams and functions (e.g., CIB COO, Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance) to support delivery of HIF objectives.

  • Conduct business analysis and market research to support strategic planning, headcount analysis, and growth proposals.

  • Coordinate inputs across teams and help prepare briefing materials and documentation for various forums and leadership reviews.

  • Support Ad hoc requests on queries, data requests, issue resolution, and internal presentations.

Requisitos

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • A strong understanding of the financial markets, including an understanding of HSBC Group and products.

  • High levels of motivation and strong work ethic, underpinned by an interest and passion for the sector.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with ability to multitask.

  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data visualization or automation tools is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to handle ambiguity, and collaborative mindset.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with regional teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working with global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • 1–3 years of experience in business management, strategy, finance, or operations in a banking or consulting setup.

  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
