- HSBC is moving to strengthen the control framework around the creation and deletion of Swift RMA to improve the control of our SWIFT message interactions with counterparties. Our regulators expect HSBC to provide clear evidence that the firm "Knows its clients" (KYC) and that it "Knows its Network" (KYN) about financial message flows.
- The core purpose of the existence of this team is to ensure that the RMA platform operates efficiently, accurately and in compliance with the regulatory requirements. The team is responsible to customize the platform to align with the bank’s payments business.
The Opportunity: - The Relationship Management (RM) Application Setup Analyst is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and configuration of client and relationship data within the bank’s RMA applications. This role supports front-office, onboarding, compliance, and operations teams by ensuring client hierarchies, roles, coverage models, and legal structures are correctly set up and maintained to enable seamless client engagement and reporting. The role holder provides operational and/or technical support on the SAG/GMG application.
- The person needs to acquire a good understanding of processes assigned to, allocate, oversee and perform tasks daily. Manage escalations, resolve queries and support RMA Team to handle customer queries / issues effectively. Plan capacity and perform volume analysis through effectively allocation of resources.
What you’ll do: - Process customer (internal/external) instructions accurately to achieve agreed quality standards and targets in accordance with the agreed Performance Level Agreements · To ensure accuracy by correctly interpreting and taking actions on the GMG / SWIFT messages.
- Assist the manager in running the operations, ensure work is organized and completed within agreed timescales. Ongoing monitoring and review of workflow and priorities are in accordance with procedures.
- Procedural changes / new initiatives are reviewed, fully communicated to and implemented by the teams under control.
- Processes are regularly reviewed to identify improvements, which will enhance operational and financial effectiveness.
- Build professional relationships with colleagues in other areas
- Effective communication with peers in terms of best practice sharing to ensure that optimum use of resource is made across the sections and that a robust cross training plan is in place to multi skill team members.
The jobholder will ensure that there are no breaches recorded in terms of swift messages and business rationale of swift messages used for - Policy around the implementation of RMA including review frequency.
- Provide advice to Relationship Managers where necessary · Familiarity with Repositories/database such as KYC intranet/CLMT/NGT Global/NGT US as part of preset up validation.
- Support any Country/Regional growth initiatives · Fast and high-quality turnaround of escalation items from Business Partners
Enhance Product & Business Knowledge - Flexible to work in multiple queues/processes/shifts and perform as per the set standards and support all department level initiatives
- To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
Requisitos
What you will need to succeed in the role
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in client data management, CRM support, or relationship management systems within financial services.
- Working knowledge of client legal structures, relationship hierarchies, and financial institution onboarding practices.
- Experience with RM/CRM systems such as SWIFT Central Portal, or proprietary tools.
- Strong data accuracy, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel, data analysis tools, and workflow platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
What additional skills will be good to have? - Exposure to regulatory data requirements (e.g., KYC, FATCA).
- Familiarity with client lifecycle management or client onboarding platforms.
- SQL or data query skills are an advantage.
- Understanding of enterprise reference data and static data systems.
