We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Continuity and Incident Manager.
Our Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM) controls are designed to reduce the impact and severity of any disruption associated with the loss or unavailability of people, systems, premises and third parties or any other incident where there is customer, regulatory, reputational and/or financial impact
The role of BCIM is to ensure these controls are effective through maintenance of the Business Continuity Programme, and Incident Management Programme, continuous monitoring of the BCIM controls and support the effective response to incidents when they occur. The BCIM team acts as subject matter experts in advising stakeholders across the business, through the planning lifecycle and exercising in addition to performing quality assurance reviews.
In this role you will:
- Support the Head of BCIM, Hong Kong who is responsible for a range of activities across the respective disciplines so you must have expertise and experience across this portfolio. However, the role will be more heavily weighted towards Incident Management than Business Continuity and Operational Resilience.
- Work with the wider global and regional BCIM teams as well as the local CAO to ensure risk controls meet agreed standards, provide support to various departments and nominate individuals accountable for delivering effective BCM within their businesses/functions and support engagement with relevant regulators as well as other relevant agencies as required.
- Support the delivery of an effective Business Continuity and Incident Management programme to all Global Businesses and Functions. You will also collaborate and foster exchange with other HSBC entities (e.g. HASE / GSC / HTC etc.) in Hong Kong as necessary and conducive to the overall management of BCIM.
- Have incident response support experience
- Ability to make decisions when under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Ability to balance multiple competing demands to find the best solutions
- Experience in risk or control management
- Delivering business continuity training
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements related to Business Continuity and Incident Management
- Professional certification in Business Continuity a significant advantage
- Ability to translate global, regional and local priorities to direct local activities
- Subject matter expert in Business Continuity and Incident Management Programmes
- Experience of working in highly regulated and complex international organization
- Fluency in English a pre-requisite, with knowledge of local languages an advantage
- Must have the right to legally work in Hong Kong
