CTO CEP-IBMz team provides Mainframe services for HSBC's mainframes worldwide.  We have 6 big sub-functions under IBM Z in China, including Core Technology, Storage, OLTP(CICS), Database (DB2), OPS/MVS and Management Service.

The Opportunity:

You will have the opportunity to touch/learn all mainframe infrastructure skills in the CEP-IBMz team.

What you’ll do:

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mainframe CICS Specialist to join our Mainframe Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CICS administration, support, and troubleshooting. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our mainframe environment.
• Support the operations of the Mainframe CICS infrastructure.
• Responsible for carrying out BAU tasks for application owners. These include CICS resource definitions online (terminals, programs, bundles etc.), defining new CICS regions etc.
• Support and document DR processes.
• Monitor ticketing tool to resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLAs.
• CICS SSL Setup Troubleshooting.

• Good knowledge on monitoring and administrative tools like Omegamon or any other equivalent for support.
• Experience in upgrade of CICS TS from lower version to higher version.
• Good Knowledge on CICSplex Operations.
• Should be able to understand the CICS Application Architecture and troubleshoot issues arising due to incoming CICS connections from Offhost DataPower, WAS etc.
• Should be able to coordinate with various application support teams, business stakeholders for complex change implementations.
• Ability to work off hours and weekends to support change implementation. Ability to support client systems in a 24/7 on- call rotation.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience in vendor product install / upgrade and applying PTF for maintenance
• Well versed with CICSPLEX Setup (CMAS), MRO region Setup and troubleshoot related issues.
• Extensive experience of mainframe systems programming.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
