The Opportunity:
In this fantastic new role, you will join a growing team to lead an experienced group of engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining key capabilities supporting our Group AI offering (e.g., Speech transcription, translation, knowledge management) for scaled consumption across our Group Businesses and Functions
Within the Group Emerging Technology, Innovation and Ventures (ETIV) team, this is a critical role to ensure a best-in-class AI platform is built to scale AI across the bank and improve the time to market for AI use case delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Design and develop platform capabilities that span AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud (Ali) environments, enabling seamless cloud and on-premise AI deployments.
- Build and maintain automated pipelines for continuous training, testing, and deployment of machine learning models, incorporating Responsible AI controls.
- Design and development of one of key platform components—including model gardens, AI gateways, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and Agent Frameworks—to accelerate AI solution delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to architectural principles, technical standards, security requirements, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues, ensuring successful, high-quality, and resilient AI services in production.
- Establish best practices for engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools, and drive continual improvement of engineering processes.
- Collaborate closely with AI engineers, stakeholders, and customers to translate AI capabilities into production-ready systems that meet business needs.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, or Golang.
- Experience in developing large-scale platforms supporting multi-tenancy and high-concurrency parallel requests.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong track record in MLOps, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability in machine learning applications.
- Experience in AI or Generative AI projects is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale, mission-critical platforms from concept to production.
